What exactly is Google Adsense and what can it do for me?

Google Adsense is an advertising program launched by the biggest search engine Google. We are all aware that there’s a huge number of advertisers out there, and also a lot of website owners. Google acts as the intermediary between the two groups.

These advertisers sign-up with Google and ads (text form) are created. These ads are included on the result page whenever someone searches for something using Google.com. The Google Adsense program allows these advertisements to be posted all over the internet; hence it is seen by a lot of internet users.

You would notice that each ad is relevant to the page were it is included. This is attributed to the robots (programs) that scan internet pages and analyzes what advertisement will go well with the web page and its content.

Advertisers pay a certain amount to Google each time their ad is clicked. Google gets a portion of the advertiser’s payment and the rest is paid to the website owner. So if you’re a website owner gaining traffic to your site is really important.

Now, let’s say you do not have your own website, say for example you’re just a blogger. You can sign up for Google Adsense even if you do not have your own site. If you are using Blogger, signing up for Adsense is really easy. Once you’ve included Adsense to your blog you can start making money from it.
